Synopsis
A simple man begins to appear in millions of people's dreams at the same time
Paul Matthews is a professor who settled for a plain life as a hard-working family man. But when more and more strangers begin to recognize him as a figure from their dreams, Paul’s life takes a strange turn. He becomes increasingly famous and millions more people start seeing him in their dreams. But when those dreams turn to nightmares and Paul is still appearing in the sleeping minds of the nation, his own fame begins to take a toll.

Dream Scenario is a surreal comedy movie directed by Norwegian filmmaker Kristoffer Borgli. Borgli is known for the movie Sick of Myself. Dream Scenario is produced by A24 and Square Peg, the production company of filmmakers Ari Aster and Lars Knudsen. Dream Scenario features cinematographer Benjamin Loeb, who is known for his work on movies After Yang, Mandy, and Pieces of a Woman. After producing the original score for Her with Arcade Fire, and Spaceship Earth, musician Owen Pallet handles the music.
Nicolas Cage stars in the movie as Paul Matthews, a man who mysteriously begins appearing in many people’s dreams. Cage is also credited as a producer of the movie. He is joined in the cast by Julianne Nicholson, who plays his wife Janet. Michael Cera stars as Trent. Tim Meadows plays Brett. Dylan Gelula, Dylan Barker, Kate Berlant, Lily Bird, Noah Centineo, Nicholas Braun, Amber Midthunder, and Lily Gao make up the cast. Dream Scenario was released in cinemas on November 10, 2023.
